Blackboards

A blackboard drawing is used to introduce a new Main Lesson topic. It lets the children dream into the large and colourful image as they listen to the teacher’s presentation, and later they may draw a similar image for the title page of their current Main Lesson book, or interpret it as an illustration of the lesson content.

A blackboard drawing may evolve in the course of days. It may serve as inspiration for the children’s free drawing, or it can be used for a guided drawing that teaches a particular point step by step.

These and other blackboard drawings are featured in A WALDORF DIARY.
