This chapter shows how to teach geometry in artistic and age-appropriate form, with anecdotes of its history and the great minds that shaped it. Five weeks of daily lesson plans are supplemented with construction drawings, presentation notes, illustrations and written summaries; plus, a kite-making workshop for the week of Michaelmas, a grammar worksheet, an introduction to diagonal shading, and some painting examples. The Main Lesson ends with a written test (now including a page of self-assessment) to show and celebrate learning progress on each individual level.
This was an excellent resource! I spent hours trying to figure out how to plan a G6 Geometry block that would be engaging and interesting. This block plan fit the bill exactly. It was easy to follow, had great activities and stories in addition to being able to utilize with another resource I already had. I could customize the block for my daughter very easily.
